Quick Quiche Recipe
Want a quiche recipe that is tasty and quick to make?
This is the go-to recipe I use for quiche. I buy premade crust to make this a fast breakfast for when I am at my busiest. What is wonderful about this quiche is you can adapt it to your particular ingredients at hand. I’ll share what I do – but you change it up – and I assure you it’s darn hard to mess up a quiche unless you pour a deluge of spices or too many liquids into it. Let’s get cookin’…

Ingredients
- one pie crust (frozen or refrigerated) – we buy a frozen gluten-free pie crust for this recipe
- 6 eggs
- 1/4 cup cottage cheese
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup meat of your choice (we used ham)
- 1 cup cheese of your choice (we used swiss)
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp chive spice (use any spice you like – or see how we make chive spice)
- 1/2 tsp tomato powder (use any spice you like – or see how we make tomato powder)
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. If you have a frozen pie crust set it out to thaw. Gather all your ingredients. You will need a bowl, measuring cups, and a fork/whisk for mixing. Crack all six eggs into the bowl. Add the cottage cheese, milk, salt, pepper, spices (chive and tomato for us).

Step 2
Begin by mixing your eggs, milk, cottage cheese, salt, pepper, spices (again this can vary based on your preferences). Also regarding spices, our love for chive spice might overwhelm you – again – determine your amount of spices based on your preferences! Once you have mixed all of this set aside.
Step 3
Chop up your meat of choice and your cheese of choice. If you are using basil, chop that up as finely as you like. We like our basil in big slices as you’ll see in our video, but some people prefer tiny little bites – do what works for you. Mix your meat, cheese and basil in a separate bowl. Finally, grab a cookie sheet and if possible cover it with parchment paper. If your quiche overflows a bit the parchment paper will save you later in the clean up process! Set your premade pie crust on the parchment paper. Add the meat, cheese, basil mix and spread it out thoroughly and evenly. Next, slowly pour the egg mixture on top of the meat/cheese/basil mix. Take your time pouring so that is sinks into the pie pan and doesn’t overflow onto the cookie sheet.
Step 4
Bake your quiche for approximately 35 to 40 minutes. Keep an eye on it and check it using the toothpick method. Simply poke a toothpick in the middle of the quiche and if it comes out clean your quiche is done. It should look puffy and a bit golden brown. Pull out of the oven and let it cool once it’s done cooking.
Additional thoughts on ingredients:
As you determine your ingredients for your quiche, just keep in mind that a quiche is flexible. Pick and choose your spices, meats, cheeses and so on. The one thing to be careful about is adding too much milk or eggs – this can be messy and it will definitely change your cooking time. If you don’t like cottage cheese – skip it! Enjoy and create the quiche that will leave your family will saying…….you can’t get quiche like this anywhere!
